What to expect in a throwing class

You will learn all steps of throwing on the wheel. Because this is a private class, you’ll receive my full attention as I guide you in this process.

This class is ideal for someone who bas never done pottery before and wants a focused environment to learn a new skill, or someone who has already taken a one-time class before and wants to receive more dedicated attention in order to get better.

In this stage of the pottery process you are only making a base shape. It’s important to note that we cannot add handles, carvings, or other designs to the piece at this stage. This class does not include a firing fee, which means you will not keep anything you make in class.

How long will it take?

The class is 90 minutes long. That includes wedging, a demo, lots of practice time, and an introduction to clay reclaim.

How much does it cost?

This class is $125 for one person.

Can I bring someone else?

I only have one wheel, so if you want to bring a partner you would have to take turns.
If that’s your preference please contact me before so we can coordinate.
